Job Details
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Insurance Coverage Attorney to join our legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to handle complex litigation cases involving insurance coverage and defense. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned attorney with a strong background in general liability, depositions, drafting arguments, motions, bad faith, casualty and specialty line coverage, professional liability insurance coverage, property and strategic risk. You will be responsible for managing a caseload from start to finish, working closely with our team to provide exceptional legal services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on insurance coverage matters, including general liability, professional liability, property and strategic risk.
  • Handle complex litigation cases from inception through resolution, including research, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting depositions, and representing the company in court proceedings.
  • Analyze and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage, identify potential coverage issues, and advise clients on the best course of action.
  • Defend insurance companies in bad faith litigation and provide advice on risk management strategies to minimize exposure to bad faith claims.
  • Advise on casualty and specialty line coverage matters and represent clients in related litigation.
  • Develop and present compelling legal arguments and strategies in court proceedings and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure the provision of high-quality legal services.
  • Stay updated on current legal trends and developments in the field of insurance coverage and defense.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Insurance Coverage Attorney, with a focus on litigation, insurance, defense, general liability, depositions, drafting arguments, motions, bad faith, casualty and specialty line coverage, professional liability insurance coverage, property and strategic risk.
  • Proven experience in complex litigation and a strong understanding of insurance laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise legal documents and effectively present arguments in court.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and devise effective legal strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes effectively and efficiently.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage a large caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Willingness to stay updated on current legal trends and developments in the field of insurance coverage and defense.
